It had to be done...

It was time already... we started putting Milo in his crib at night. All told, it has been an amazing success - he has slept as good as ever in there! We usually get about 5 hours for the stretch (from the beginning of one feeding to the next) and then about 4 hours for the next stretch. And if I'm really lucky, I can usually get in another 3 hour stretch after that. I couldn't ask of anything better!

Admittedly, I am a little neurotic. I turn on his monitor even though his room is exactly 4 steps from ours... and I usually hear him for real before I do on the monitor. But I still turn it on... just in case I guess.

So why did we have to move him already?

Then

Now
Can you believe what a big boy we have on our hands already - at just under 2 months old?!

Say Cheese!

Milo has started smiling for real in the last week or two and I finally caught it on camera...

Moving Milo

Milo and Bella getting ready for a trip in our new ride....
Big enough to hold both of them, lots of stuff, and a few other people.

First stroller ride without the car seat attached

Probably Milo's favorite place lately - works like a charm when he needs to calm down, and sometimes its the only time I have enough free hands to eat lunch!

One Month Old!

Dear Milo,

Yesterday you turned 1 month old and i can't believe how fast the time has flown by! You are becoming such a big boy that I had to move the straps on your car seat up to the next larger setting yesterday. You have your fussy periods, and sometimes fight going to sleep, but once you are asleep you usually last for from 3-5 hours at night time. I think we hit that jackpot in that as long as you are fed and changed, and we don't let you get overtired you are about as easy as could be!

You love taking baths and you also really like to swing. The swing has been so well used, especially when we need you to sleep, that we bought a second one so we could have one on each floor of the house! In the last week or so you have really started to find your voice and now make noises besides crying when you are awake. You also love to grab and kick at things, and are working so hard on holding your head up. It won't be long before you are able to hold your head up yourself I am sure!

Bella is learning to be a great big sister and when you cry she makes sure one of us is taking care of you asap. She is also just as excited to see you when we come home as she is to see Mommy or Daddy and likes to sneak in and lick your face too!

We love you so much and can't wait to see what the next month brings!

First Tub Bath

We finally were able to give Milo is first real tub bath on New Years Eve, and thank god since we weren't very good at the sponge baths. Now we no longer have the smelly kid!

He wasn't impressed at first but within a minute or two he was having a great time in the warm water! I was surprised because he hates being naked otherwise, but i guess its different in the water.

And now, the requisite embarrassing pictures for later in life... ;-)
