Happy Birthday Milo!

Thursday we had a little birthday party for Milo's first birthday! There was only 5 people there - us, my parents, and the birthday boy - but we still had to celebrate in style!

The awesome cupcakes, from Trophy Cupcakes.
Birthday banner I made.
Gifties!
The birthday boy!
Super cute birthday crown from True Love Found!
Balloons!
Singing Happy Birthday!
Ummm, what is this?
This is definitely NOT my usual snack! (After this little display he chucked half the cupcake right at me lol!)
Oh wait, this is GOOD! (And after this he proceeded to shovel the cupcake into his mouth like it was going out of style!)
Posing for pictures is ok...
...but sharing this awesome cupcake is REALLY fun!

REALLY trying out this new chair!

Dear Milo -

I don't even know where to start! My little boy, my baby, is ONE YEAR OLD! A toddler now! Its so crazy and amazing to me, I feel like I don't even know how it happened so fast!
You are learning so much so fast now. In the last month you have learned to feed yourself finger foods (finally!), and now love to feed US your food too. So cute! You love to eat everything and I've taken to calling you the human trash compactor because you eat so much sometimes!
You have stood independently, then taken your first steps and now are walking! You get usually about 10-12 steps at this point, but I think it won't be too long before you are running all over the place as you have progressed this far so fast from when you started your first steps. Once you figure out you can get some where walking just as fast as crawling then I think you're going to be unstoppable!
You have developed a very distinct personality and you are definitely your own little person now. You have perfected the tantrum, where you throw yourself on the floor and roll onto your side and scream. It is, truthfully, so cute that its impossible to mad! You are also into EVERYTHING right now! You love to explore everything and have more fun checking things out around the house then playing with toys. You understand no, but sometimes choose to ignore it and are all about testing boundaries right now (hence the adorable tantrums sometimes.)
I truly don't even know where to begin. This past year has been the most amazing, incredible, unbelievable year ever! You are the light of our lives, and really, I can barely even remember what our lives were like without you. It hasn't always been easy, but there isn't a single second that I would trade for anything in the world. I have loved every minute and can't wait to see what joy and excitement the next year brings!
We love you so much, our perfect little man!

I'm a Crafty Bitch!

It only took FOREVER, but I managed to make stockings for the whole family and a matching tree skirt!
Please ignore the wonky shapes... they are filled already here.
Hand stitched letters and tiny white trim in the background.
I couldn't decide if there was an apostrophe or not, so I went the long route!

Do you have any idea how many letters are on all of those together?! ALOT!

And at the end we tried to stage a cake smash photo, but this is all we got. So hilarious! Typical Milo!

Santa Time!

Oh yes! A CLASSIC Santa picture for sure! Milo, I promise to someday show this picture to all your girlfriends, whether you like it or not. Because I can!
(If you can believe it this was the "better" of the 2 shots they took. Better as in, like his eyes were sort of open in this one at least! Ha!)

And because I'm feeling sentimental with my little man's birthday less then a week away, lets compare to last year, shall we?

Quite a difference from last year's 7 day old little peanut!
