Ok, ok, so my birthday is 6 weeks away. But, Doug gave me my birthday present last night so it sure does feel like my birthday. Check it out...
It's the most awesome thing ever. I think that's all I need to say about that!

Goodbye Sweet Midwest!
Well, it's official... we are moving to San Francisco!!! Doug got the offer today and there are some details to work out on Monday, but its happening! We don't have a timeline yet, but it will definately be sooner then later. I am going to put in our notice with our apartment complex when I get home from work since they need 2 months and I do know it won't even be that long.
More details to follow next week though. At least we will have movers this time!
P.S. - Something very exciting about moving to California (as if that isn't amazing enough) is that I will be able to wear peep toe shoes almost year round! Dana, you understand how great this is, right? Speaking of Dana, a close proximity to our favorite vacay spot - Vegas - can't hurt either! Hmm, I wonder if this calls for a celebratory vacation?! I did just say I needed a vacation, didn't I?

Brotherly Love.
I need a vacation.
My job is literally sucking the life out of me today. I am about ready to explode.
You know what's the worst? When BossMan's drinking buddy gets employed and he is a complete Tool. In fact, call him a Tool is being complementary. And then, when he doesn't hear what he wants, said Tool runs striaght to BossMan (and will lie when it benefits him). It's great. All because Tool is too lazy to call customers. Its not like as a CSR he should have to call them anyway though. I think Tool is going to be the death of this place.
Enough bitterness. I'm just waiting here for some good news about Doug's job situation. Keep your fingers crossed for him.
I think I'm taking off the 2 days after July 4th. Like I said, I need a vacation. Now.

Exciting Stuff
Well Doug is on his way to Chicago now for his interview tomorrow! I know he's gonna do awesome, he can interview the pants off anyone else out there.
I have to go to Target tonight to get a dish drying rack and scrubby soap brush because our dishwasher is so bad! I wash all the dishes before they go in there and they come out looking worse (how is that even possible?!) So that's neat.
It's 95 today with a heat index of 98 and it feels horrible outside. Its 70 today in San Francisco though....
I told you I was exciting.

Dinner and a movie
We saw Oceans 13 today and it was so good. I highly recommend it!
Doug is making lasagna for dinner right now. From scratch. And it is hands down the BEST lasagna ever. In it he uses his homemade bolognese sauce, which we have leftovers of for spaghetti. Also the best ever.
Jealous yet? I thought so.

San Francisco?
Well, it's official. We are not moving to San Francisco.... yet. Doug decided not to take the job with QG because his boss offered him a 20% raise and top priority to move up into sales. Well, about 4 seconds after that he got a call from his boss saying there was a sales position is San Francisco (fate anyone?) that just opened up and he had an interview. And if for whatever reason that doesn't work out then there is another opening in NYC. So, on Tuesday Doug is going to Chicago to interview for the SF position and then who knows?! The salary for that position kicks the ass of the one at QG also, and you can't argue with that. Hell, the raise they gave him in the mean time kicks ass of that other salary when you consider cost of living. Also, RRD will be paying any moving expenses. Thank god for full service movers!
Today is free Northern Lites Cooler Day at Caribou from 2p-3p and Doug's going to go get me one soon! I have a pretty awesome hubby.

Bella's Big Day
So today literally started off with a bang (It's my blog and I'll use a play on words if I want to!) with a crazy thunderstorm at about 2:30 this morning. It was so loud and poor Bella was shaking and hiding under the bedside table. I felt bad, but also, it was pretty damn cute. So then we get up this morning and its 90 degrees and super sunny. We decided to go down to Lake Calhoun and rent a canoe. We usually do the tandem kayak, but we decided if we did a canoe we could put Bella in it too.
Let me start off my saying that my rowing skills are mediocre at best in a kayak, and in a canoe they are downright crappy. Luckily Doug took over and was able to row us by himself with no problem. But I think Bella had quite a time! First she was trying to eat the sand out of the bottom of the boat (in her defense she has never seen sand before!) and then she was trying to drink water over the side of the canoe. But after she figured everything out she was just chilling having a good old time checking out the scenery. She did bark at this one dock when we came near it, so that was weird. But, it was a great time to be had by all. I just wish I had brought my camera with me!
It's pretty safe to say that if we move I will miss the Lakes in summertime. Although SF has an ocean so, ya know...

Send me to quarentine!
I have a disease, and it's extremely contagious. It's called Complaining. Watch out or you'll catch it, like I've caught it from some folks at work. What's ironic is the complaining that I'm constantly doing is about other people's complaining! How's that for a little bit of irony? In real life I swear I'm not half the whiner that I am at work, and I've decided it's really unbecoming. Problem is, as soon as I make a conscious effort not to complain about things, here comes some smarty pants with something annoying.
